I had the awesome privilege of ministering at the first National Pastor’s Conference for the Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa, which was held in the coastal city of Mombasa in Kenya. There were over 1,100 pastors in attendance from every district of Kenya. There were also 42 tribes represented, which is indicative that the church is having an impact on traditional mentalities of tribalism. Through God’s amazing provision, we were able to bless every pastor with teaching materials that I had written for the conference.
It was a blessing to have Scott Weinreb travel with me and assist me at this conference. He has a genuine heart to serve. It was great to have an amour-bearer to intercede and help in practical ways. Scott also preached and ministered at a nearby village church after the conference.
On our way back to the States, we passed through Nairobi, where I preached for Pastor James Wesonga, who pastors Kimbo All Nations Church, a 4,500 member church on the north side of Nairobi. On the way to the meeting, Pastor Wesonga said, “Oh, I forgot to mention, we have a baptismal this afternoon.” I responded that I loved baptisms, to which he said, “Do you want to get wet?” Thus, I was honored to help baptize over 80 people that day before rushing off to the airport!
